I just got a '54 235 flywheel, 139 teeth I think. There are quite a few small cracks on part of the flywheel. I haven't had it resurfaced yet (I don't think they will grind out), but wondered if it is safe to use it with these cracks. Can they be fixed? Is it better to try to find another one (may not be too easy), or as noted in the first reply, will I be okay with a 54 235? I don't expect mind boggling revs,but I do want a smooth and reliable clutch. Any opinions on this ?
