I found a granny four speed at a swap meet several months ago that was supposed to be from a 65 3/4 ton. I called the Jim Carter 800 number and they said it would not fit because "everything changed in 1965". Later I sent two emails to the Jim Carter site to understand why and I never got a response.
Yes, I have the granny four speed now but I have already removed the torque tube and rear. Nice Novak web site with the pictures and text. I think I'll buy my friend's SM465 but I may opt for the T-5 later. It doesn't sound like either one is rocket science.
