I didn't mention the 2-1/2 ton fenders in my other post because they really won't look right on a small truck. These large fenders were stock on the 8000 and 10000 Series trucks. They were designed to be used with a fender extension that allows the fender heal to sweep down and bolt to the running board. My fire engine is a 10000 series with these fenders. The width across the front fenders is 84" and the center to center track of the front tires is about 67".
The medium duty trucks (4000 & 6000 series) have the fenders that look more like a large opening pickup fender. The heal of the fender curves down and meets the rocker molding naturally. The width across the front fenders on these fenders 78.75" and the center to center track of the front tires is about 63".
The width across the light duty front fenders is about 73.75" and the center to center track of the front tires is about 60.5".
One other measurement I can help with is the fire wall to center of the front axle. Hold a straight edge vertically against the fire wall and measure to the center of the axle. The 3000 series is 15.75" for 1955/59, the 4000/6000 series is 10.75" for 1955/56 & 13.25 for 1957 and the 8000/10000 series is 13.25" for 1955/59. With this info it looks like you would want to look for the 1957 fenders as they will have the closest wheel opening to axle center as your stock 3000 series truck.
I don't have any fenders for sale at this time. They are on ebay from time to time...not hard to find.
Yes, all cabs are the same size, the only differences were to the transmission opening size in the floor.
