Thanx for the replies. Bill, mine appears to have the stock "drop" like your above picture, and yes the springs are pretty flat up there. Kinda hard to measure just yet. Been starin at it all summer and tryin to get it in the barn and start cuttin.
All the stockers I've seen seem to be quite a bit taller than mine which is why I posted. There's also a SBC in the hole so weight may be a factor.
As I get really into this project I'll post a buncha pics. Once again thanx for the insights.
