If you stick with the 10 bolt, axles will interchange from 48 to 72. But you have to use the correct length, which varied. I know that you can cheat on the length a little, I learned that from an older junkyard man.
Hubs are another story and are dependant on bearing size. I think an interchange manual would be a good place to start.
