First, let me say that I am a novice when it comes to engines (especially old truck engines) so my explanations may not be perfectly clear - so thank you for bearing with me.
I have a '54 Chevy 3600 with the original 235 engine in it that does not start. It does turn over and has a new battery. I had a friend look at it and we confirmed that indeed fuel is making it to carb. He thinks the carb may need to be replaced/rebuilt. My question is, before I rebuild/replace the carb what are my options?
I'd like to keep the 235 for awhile, but am wondering what I can do as far as intake/carb combinations for better performance? Can i go with a dual carb, if so what needs replaced and what do you guys recommend.
Sorry the long question. Thanks for your help!!!
