I've actually removed the bolts that go through the top of the frame rails and brackets. Bottom is loosened. The 350 and 383 should be the same width. All I can figure is that the old rubber motor mounts were a tad thinner. ???
did you get it together?
those old rubber mounts get a little oil soaked over the years and do sag a bit, just like people. new mounts would be a little higher which in theory would bring them a little closer together
