I worked for Praxair at one time and they sold the dry ice units for blasting. This is CO2 in ice form. It does a great job used in some places. Removes grease and oil from electric motor windings without much damage to tje insulation underneath. Not all thet great on paint or rust removal. Lots more expensive than other type of abrasive blasting. It takes some specialized equipment. Real advantage is there is very limited clean up after blasting cause the dry ice evaporates. Praxair was pushing the machines for commercial use as that was a way to sell the co2 product.
