Go to your FLAPS and ask for an alternator and plug for a 1979 C-10 V-8 pickup. Follow the many wireing diagrams found on this site (white wire on plug is your ignition, red on plug is jumped over to output lead like Oldsmobile did it ), Diode from Radio Shack in ignition line if needed.
