Yes, they are halogen. They put out a nice, clear, white light without being too harsh (like the hid/projector beams). They also have oe type lenses and mountings, so they are a direct replacement as far as fitment and aiming. They also work fine with the stock harness, no funky wiring/relays needed to make them work.
