My bed is going back together soon & I don't want to install the stock chains & hooks as these beat the paint to death, would not hold paint very well & just created a rusty looking mess.
I plan to use the slide barrels from MAR-K to secure the tailgate but the tailgate braces are a bit pricey. I have seen a few others that have used stock looking modern cables or folding flat bars. What works best, what did any you use & can you detail the install & from what type donor did the parts originate? Thanks.
