You can use the early c-4 but i would not. They were not very good and broke a lot. We have the new tremec 6 speed in a 57 but i would not do it again.The tremec 5 speed is a better box for the street. 6 speed is more road race set up. Save your pennies they are not cheap,but you can have the shifter about anywere you want.
