The '55-'57 (early) 3200 and 3600 had a 7 1/2' bed. The 8' bed came midyear '57 (around March). The frame on the earlier trucks is about 6" shorter that the later trucks.

The 3200 long bed was 89 inches and in mid 57 also had a 97 inch bed. Measure the bed wood from the front panel to the rear sill. I think you will find yours is 89 inch. The 97 inch was only on the 57 as far as I know.
