my 40 1/2 ton has a straight six numbers are 3886848 how can I find what cubic inch this is or does someone out there know? I am kicking the idea of leaving this engine but want to change trannys. It now is geared to high rpm at about55mph.Will probably change rear ends also.I have a 4/11 from a s10 blazer. I am open for input. What tran. will bolt up to this engine? will thr blazer rear end work well with the 6 banger. Automatic or 5 speed? what is the best combo. Ideas please.
