Just put in a new (rebuilt) power steering unit in my former manual steering '62 c-10. The kit came with a rebuilt steering box and pump from a '68 thru '76 truck. Everything runs OK, but it makes lots of noise, sort of like when you turn the wheel on a power steering on a car all the way in one direction and hold it there. The noise is only when you turn the wheel, even slightly, then it really squeals. The belt is not slipping. Questions:
1. Anyone had this happen before
2. I think only the pump could make this noise, correct ?
3. Any suggestions.
