I usually set the idle as low as it will go, then set the mixture. Do it again until your changes are minimal. I then bump the idle up just a bit so it doesn't die at stop signs. With automatic tranny and a/c, they need to be engaged when you reset the idle at the end. Pulling the plugs won't hurt, that's for certain. http://www.theultralightplace.com/sparkplugs.htm
