I had the same problem on my '54 3100. Someone had cross-threaded one of the brakelines into the fitting on the back of the master cylinder. When I replaced the master cylinder, I couldn't get it to stop leaking.
I took it to my local NAPA store. He walked back and picked one up off the shelf. I think it was around $7.00
