I have had a 195? GMC 300 for some time now and have always thought that it was a 1954.
I have a 1954 Chevy 6400 and this is the year that chevy went from the split windshield to a solid curved glass windshield, hence my belief that my GMC was also a 1954.
Recently, I have seen a couple of GMC trucks that I was told were earlier than 1954 that had round glass like the 1954 windshields.
I have the serial number which is on the original blue plate on the inside drivers door jamb.
It is: 30324C71049
The GVW: ?1400 (the first number is hard to make out)
The combined GVW: 22,000 lbs
The plate also reads assembled in Pontiac, Michigan
When I use the vin buster it comes out as a 1963 Chevy built in St Louis, Missouri, which doesn't match.
Any help would be glady accepted.
