I know it is hit or miss at HF, but I have purchased some brand name made in the USA products that have failed me. Granted, the odds of it happening with a HF tool are probably greater, but they are pretty good about letting me return stuff. I guess the key is how far away you live from a HF retail store.
I like buying loads of screwdrivers, sandpaper and other supplies there. HF cannot be beat for pricing on this stuff.
