Did you compare your new parts with your old part before you installed them.

The new clutch/pressure plate install is usually pretty straightforward, but I have seen posts here with tales of long and short throwout bearings and varying types of clutch release springs that don't mix and match with those throwout bearings.

I have changed a bunch of these and everything worked well..are you certain you are adjusting the rod properly and that your fork and throwout bearing are where they belong.
