Thanks for that tip. I had taken into consideration the baffle set up.

The screen/pick-up on the end of the tube is my problem. The baffle in the pan and the screen itself is partially covered to force the oil pump to draw the oil that is flowing back from the front of the engine. Since the screen is partially covered I couldn't clean it properly. The tube itself isn't a problem and what I'm thinking I'll do if I can't find a replacement is buy a pick up screen of the same design (I think they used them in some small blocks) and solder or braze it onto the original tube.

I talked to Patrick Dykes this morning who said that he spoke with Melling and they don't produce those anymore. So if I'm going to find one it'll be old stock on someone's shelf or used.
