Actually the 46 1/2 and 3/4 ton rears are not interchangeable as far as center sections. My above point is that if the 46 3/4 ton rear was swapped with a 55-62 3/4 ton rear the gears would remain 4.57:1. The Eaton 3/4 ton rear ends will interchange from 46-72. Most of the 3/4 ton trucks came standard with 4.57 gears. It is dificult to find the 4.11 ratio for these rear ends.
