there should be enough gas in the float bowl to start it the next 3-4days.
and by the time you crank some there is more gas.
pull the gas line off the carb
turn over engine and you should see gas thru in tubing.
if not or very low levels, check fuel filter or clogged fuel line or pump diaphram

squirt carb throttle and see/hear gas inside carb. or check for stuck float, needle & seat for flow or clogged orfice
