I'm looking on swapping out my 3 speed manual for a TH350 in my 56. It has a 283 V-8. What other items will I need besides a new shifter, change driveshaft, add kickdown linkage and change the crossmember. Someone was telling me I will need to swap out the flywheel and also remove a bearing from the rear of the engine. I have never heard of this. I have swapped out trannie's before but this will be my first changing from manual to auto. I tried to do a search but didn't find anything. Any help on this swap will be appreciated.
