Gear ratios in my T5 are listed as follows:
Rev 2.76, 1st 2.95, 2nd 1.94, 3rd 1.34, 4th 1.00, and 5th 0.63.
I did find the calculators that I was referred to by Cavebull and after plugging in the #'s I realized that, no matter how smooth or torquey or well designed the stovebolt is, I would need at least 2 more cylinders or ALOT of expensive modifications for this to all work well. I will continue the search for another rear axle and just keep this 2.73 for the next project.
The late 70's and 80's Japanese import PU's rears all were 3.90 to 4.11 or so and most all were 6 on 5.5 so thats where I'll be lookin next. I hate to put something together only to have to take it apart again and change something so it will work. I'd much rather ask ? and do the research and hopefully get it right the first time. Heck sometimes I even learn something new!

Also for those looking for some good info on the many different T5 variants this site may be of use
