Well I took my driveshaft to the shop today to be shortened. It was almost dark when I got back home but the urge to put it in was overwhelming so I hastily installed it and under the cover of darkness, thank God for street lights, I drove it down the street!! (note to self.. will drive better when the transmission is full of fluid) I would have gone farther but I didn't have the headlights hooked up. Man what a blast! Finally after over two years it moved (and stops) under its own power!! The were plenty of things that I noticed that have to be done, mainly figure out why it wants to die when in gear, but boy do I feel great. Can't wait till morning to start tweeking!
