Yes but first find out where the play is. Have someone move the steering wheel back & forth while you look underneath. The wheels must be straight ahead.Often the play is in the drag link. If the gear needs acjustment loosen the lock nut on the side of the steering box. Some have a lock tab to pull back. Screw the adjusting screw in till it starts tightening up. Tighten the lock nut & turn the wheels back & forth to check for binding. If it binds going across Or near center back the adjustment up a little. If it still has play you will have to remove & o-haul it.
