I am against aborting emission control devices. Our air quality is important but sometimes it is necessary. To put that system back in proper working order would be very difficult & costly. Finding a tech. that could & would do it would be nearly impossible. I would put a dist. & carb. from a late 70s similar engine or get a Edelbrock performer carb. You can still use the evaporator system & pcv system. I recomend an electric choke. Some states even waive the emission requirments on situations like that.
