| | | | Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 506 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2000 Posts: 506 | Installing disk brake kit on straight axle 52 1/2 ton Chevy. It already has a new manual drum/drum mc with 10/10 residual valves. Drum brakes are working ok, just want more stopping power so am adding disks up front. I think all I need to do is change the front residual to 2 and I'm, good to go? The mc is under the floor in the original location. The company I bought the kit from said I should be good to go with a 2 lb? However I read now that using a drum/drum manual mc with a disk brake will cause the disks to drag? Conflicting information. Thank you in advance.
