I know that I am going to get a lot of redirects to the tech notes at the home page, but I have beenthrough all of the websites listed to answer the following question to no satisfactory avail. Is there someone rally know,edgable out there who can pont me in the right direction or give me some partial information on the following block numbers? F1223NE behind distributor on possible 235, CON2LCO3 3860817 with OM under it on block. Block has a clock face dot patternwith a pointer at 9 o'clock which supposably only happened at Saginaw, MI plant. This engine is a freebee that I want to put in my 50 Chevy pickup, but I would like to know what year and maybe model of vehicle etc. it came from. All the charts I am reading seem contradictory. I know asking this will anoy some of you, but somebody out there must have a more informed knowledge of how to read these numbers.
