Although I ended up going a different route, I did these alternator and p/s brackets with the handy-dandy $99 Eastwood powdercoat kit and an old countertop pizza oven. It was a two layer process, but it ended up looking pretty darn good. I really love the gun; anything I could fit in the oven got powdercoated.

There's also an Eastwood forum where people post the pictures of the stuff they've powdercoated at home. It's pretty impressive.
