I'm just throwing this question out to the Stove Bolters to get a feel for the general consensus on transmission preferences.. I currently have a SM420.. I'm running it with a 235 motor and a 3:07 R&P.. So far so good.. But I have heard lots of talk about this T-5.. I'm wondering if I should consider it when it comes time to rebuild or replace my current transmission??
I kind of really dig this SM420 I have.. And I'm certainly not complaining about it.. If I could change one thing about it I sometimes wish I had an extra gear on the freeway.. But for now I just drive slower..
My application is light duty and daily driver..
