Ok guys. I have a 41 half ton. I've just finished the king pins. I had to replace the spindles as one was too badly worn and the other had a slight twist in the shaft. I've put everything back together and noticed that on the side which had the twisted spindle, the brake drum is not an even fit to the backing plate. One side of the drum fits in flush inside the backing plate lip but the other sits out a little. I've still got the truck on axle stands. Ther brakes seem to work ok although I haven't taken it out for a road test yet. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this and whether it would be ok to take the truck back on the road.
Cheers
Bob
