| | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | A neoprene seal will only work if the seal surface is without pits, has not been turned more than a few thousands and has a seal groove that is concentric with main bearing journal (I have seen them offset). They will also not work well with a engine that has shims on the rear main.
