I just got my truck a couple of weeks ago and I have begun the task, no the pleasure, of rebuilding it to what I can. I have been scouring Craigslist here in Texas to find a 64-66 truck and when this one popped up, it said for sale or trade. I had a 1985 Pontiac Fiero that was a fun car but lately I had the yearning for having an old truck, so I emailed the man who owned the truck and he said he would be interested, so I ended up with the truck. I could see the bit of damage that rust had done, but of coarse I guess you never really are able to tell until you start really poking around on the body. After seeing the damage that was along the drip rails I almost decided to look for another cab, but then I thought that even if I found one and the top was in good shape there might be rust lurking under the roof skin where you couldn`t see, and with the skin off my current cab I can get rid of the rust all on the top and treat the metal. Plus, my cab is a big back window and the rest of it including the rockers seems to be solid. I am determined to make this cab the best I can. Well, here are some pictures of what I`m working with.
