Well I finally got an hour or two to put my HEI in the truck today............works like a charm! Could be my imagination, but it does seem to run crisper. Either way, I'm sure it is an improvement over the old points ignition. Thanks for all the info, and input, on how to do this! It really is easy as hell. Hardest part was getting the oil pump cog lined up with the distributer shaft. Finally stuck a straight edged screwdriver down there and turned it to match the dist. and it fell right in! Now on to my next project........power brakes!
