Either the basic replacement or a higher performance upgrade. I would put on disc brakes from a 71 up model & change to 5 hole wheels. If the rear end is 3.08 ratio I would change the axles & drums to 5 hole. If not I would get a 71-72 rear end. You can use the 3.08 with a Muncie 4 speed or use a lower gear rear end with an o-drive trans. Add power steering if not equipt. I would leave the stock heighth & rebuild all chassis & brake components as needed. The cosmetics are up to your taste but I like stock apearance. These are great driving trucks & one of the best model GM built. There are plenty of parts available for them. Welcome to the Stovebolt website & the old truck hoby.
