Sounds like it will be geared a little too high to me. Iv,e got 3.08 gears in my 70 stepside with 7004R o-drive auto. & 350 engine same size tires. It,s just right. I wouldn,t want it any higher. It,s not fun driveing something geared too high. It will bog down on hills or head winds.
