Hi,

I'm JB and I am new to the Forum. I am a proud owner of a 1951 Chevy short bed truck. I have a couple of 70's GM cars, but I have always had a hankering to restore an old truck.Picked her up two nights ago and brought her home on a trailer. Have to clear out the last remaining space in the garage to work on it. It will be a great project for me and my son, Matthew. First thing we have to do is either rebuild or replace the master cylinder. The 216 starts right up and sounds good. No real rust issues to speak about. There is some rewiring, detailing the dash, and building a wood bed that I need to concentrate on. The truck is black and I would someday like to paint it medium blue.

I was thrilled to find this website and I look forward to learning more about these old trucks.
