TRK, your balancer should have two screws which you will remove to mount the puller. To push on you'll need to put a socket (I used a 1/2" drive 9/16") in the center of the hand crank lug. Your puller will push against the socket which will push against the end of the crank. Don't push against the lug or you'll damage the balancer and you'll never get it off.
