| | | | Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 1,067 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Aug 2004 Posts: 1,067 | Yes, Gearvendors does make an electrically operated overdrive for the SM420 and SM465 transmissions. It is a planetary gear system and can handle up to about 1400 lb-ft of torque. Shifting is activated by pressing a button and will go into overdrive in any gear. My understanding is it's very high quality and works very well. Expensive though. Currently about $2700. The price is going up faster than what I can afford. But maybe someday.
