Hi, I have a 1949 Chev PU 1/2 ton built in Canada on July 15 1949.The first thing I bought was the glove box liner. I had a lot of problems making it fit until I removed the staples from the back panel and removed it,then it went in,then I was able to roll the liner until the screw holes lined up, next I was able to install the inner metal inner trim ring and the screws( in my case they were #6 countersunk screws for the trim ring), next I mounted the back with small binder clips because I knew that I would be removing it again . NOTE: With sheet medal type screws always put screw in hole and turn backwards until you feel the thread engage then screw in.
