I am so glad he made it through the accident. That hospital bill seems unbelievable. My brakes went out on my property, but I did not have much of a hill, and was able to use the emergency brake. I backed up right away and got the wheels off shortly after that.
If Jake was living in Canada, his hospital bill would be covered. I hope that one day soon America will have that kind of medical coverage. America is too rich a country not to take care of this problem. What happens to Jake's bill now? There is on way a person could pay that. All the best to him and a steady recovery.
