Those articles in Auto Restorer (on hopping/souping up a 235/261 for higher performance) were well-wrtten and very interesting.
Auto Restorer magazine used to be called Classic Auto Restorer magazine and here is a link to an
engine rebuild article that was published in 1995 and now found in the
Tech Section of ChevyTrucks.org.
As red58 advised, you will still need a Shop Manual (for the year of your engine) in order to do a rebuild. These manuals are readily available from most parts vendors in the links section of this site (and are regularly for sale on eBay).
