#46801 06/24/2005 5:36 AM | Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 985 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Feb 2000 Posts: 985 | Welcome to the bolt! I would try a remote fuel source. You can use a plastic gas can. Get a couple feet of rubber fuel line. Attach to the inlet on the carb and attach to the vent nipple on the gas can. Make sure you don't have any leaks. Also make sure you have a working Fire Extinguisher with you!!! Try running it this way. If this works then you either have a plugged fuel line, bad fuel pump or a ton a "junk" in the tank plugging up the works.
Just a note: You may want to disconect the fuel line at the carb and place it in a bottle and then crank the engine and see if you are getting any fuel. If you do then it maybe the carb is the problem. If you don't get any fuel make sure to disconnect the fuel line from the tank to the pump . Just in case you start the truck with the remote fuel can you don't need the fuel pump "clearing" itself and start pumping fuel.
