on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 128 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2007 Posts: 128 | after reading Gardners concern over the condition of the oil tube under his rocker cover it reminded me of my high school car,a 235 54 belair, its tube had been completely pinched off by a previous owner, the car ran great and never had any problems. which brings me to the now, i have a 55 first series chevrolet 6500 with the 261, i had her running the other day with the rocker cover off to adjust the valves and noticed that some of the rockers seemed to be not getting their proper share of lubrication. the oil tube is completely open and unmodified. now maybe ive answered my own question in the first few lines of this paragraph, but is there no reason not to pinch this line off so that all the rockers get properly lubed or is there a more proper way without pinching the line? this motor has less than 2800 miles on a complete rebuild. | | |
