The IROC-Z bar mounts on the bottom of the Camaro differential using a U-bolt clamp. The clamp has a notch in it which fits over a tab welded on the bottom of the axle tube. This is to prevent the clamp assembly from moving around the axle tube.

When you go to mount your bar on your truck, you'll find that it will need to go on TOP of the axle tube. This lets you use the stock control links. You may have to use a 3" U-bolt as the Camaro axle tubes are only 2-5/8" in diameter. By mounting the the bar on the top of the diff, you'll be able to drill one hole in each lower frame rail and keep your control links vertical with weight on the diff. I just made a small tack weld on the mount bracket-to-axle tube to insure it won't try to rotate.

The eye-to-eye measurement on the "Z" bar is 39" which almost centers the link-to-frame hole in the center of the bottom section of the frame rail.

You'll find that the heavier "Z" bar, combined with an aftermarket front bar, will all but eliminate body roll. The sway bar addition was probably the most dynamic modification you'll make to your suspension. This combined with a good set of gas shocks and radial tires, will transform your truck into a great driving road machine.
