| | | Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 338 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Feb 2005 Posts: 338 | My vacuum wiper motor was acting up so I ordered a new one with a replacement wiper arm and wiper from Jim Carter.
What arrived wasn't anything like what was already on the truck.
The old wiper had a round knob that the wiper arm attached to. This knob was attached to the wiper shaft with a small pin.
The new wiper motor is the same as the old one and I can put the knob and old wiper on but the new wiper arm has a rod that runs all the way through with a spring that looks like it would attach to the shaft with out the knob.
I can't figure out how this setup works.
Someone must know how this works. I'll take hints or step by step instructions.
