I have a 1946 chevy pickup.The metal frame from the front windsheild is pretty beat up. It is rusted and corroded in several spots (although both sides are relative in one piece)My question is this: If I take a dremmel and grind off all of the remaining rust and then take small strips of fiberglass over the rusted and corroded parts so that the frame will become fiberglass with a metal skeleton. I am pretty sure I can recreate the channels in the corroded areas for the weatherstripping and window with my dremmel when the fiberglassing is done.Will this be stong enough when I put it all back together again? I would hate to go to all that trouble just to see the frame snap when it's put in place.
