Yes, I just did this myself and everything is the same except the output shaft. You'll have to re-use the truck output shaft because it, and the truck tailhousing, are a different length than the car tranny. If you exchange the cluster gear also you'll need to use the shaft from the car along with it because the truck transmissions use needle bearings and the automotive trannys use bushings. Also, you'll need to reuse the truck side-cover. Go for it, you won't have any problems.
